About us

Hermes Magazine is an independent magazine that started in 2021. This magazine works in the field of literature, philosophy, art history and mythology. The magazine aims to bring together writers from all over the world to write about philosophy, literature, art history and mythology.
Mohammad Abedi founded this magazine. He is an Iranian writer, researcher and translator. He is a student of dramatic literature at Tehran University of Art and Architecture and is a teacher of Western philosophy and Persian literature.

Peace Poon

Peace Poon wakes up every single day to inspire people to do what they love. Peace imagines a world where we can all come together and feel alive. He believes that doing what you love helps others find the Why of Life. In Filipino, his name means "God of Peace". He graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Social Sciences from the Ateneo de Manila University in the Philippines. He currently resides in Somerset, England. He is inspired by Simon Sinek's work and aims to build a world where we can all say: "I love my life."

Heather Sayer

I am a London resident of Kingston upon Thames, I will be attending university later this year to study English literature and creative writing. Since I was a small child, I have been an avid reader and writer and wish to bring this enjoyment of the two to as wide an audience as I can.

Louis Prowe

Louis Prowe was born in Andover, Massachusetts. He received his BA in literature and political philosophy and graduated cum laude from Northeastern University in Boston. He continued his education at the University of London-Goldsmiths, and studied Ethics, Mind, and Consciousness at the University of Edinburgh. His second novel, Finch Theory, is due out in 2023. He lives and in rural New England. 

Aybüke Fayetörbay

Aybüke Fayetörbay is an experienced media specialist with a demonstrated history of working in the publishing industry as junior editor. Aybüke, currently situated in İstanbul, received her Bachelor’s degree in Philosophy from Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University and Master’s degree in Philosophy and Social Thought from Bilgi University.

Jordan Fermanis 

Jordan is a journalist, writer and essayist based in London. Originally from Sydney, his work has appeared in the ABC Online, The Conversation, The Asahi Shimbun, Global Restructuring Review and Politics Relaxed Podcast.

Nehasri Ravishenbagam

Nehasri Ravishenbagam is a blog contributor to various magazines and websites. Her top-favorite niches include travel, entertainment, food, and Literature. She’s often found cooped up in her room with her laptop and waffles. While she's not typing, you can bet that she's into crime thrillers! 

Supreet Kaur Gujral

Born and brought up in India, this Law professional-cum-writer embarks upon her writing journey with a blogging platform. She writes for the art and history section of the Hermes Magazine. 

Sheetal Verma

Being born and brought up in India, I realised that I was always able to express my best self through my writings (mostly). I like finding stories everywhere and love penning them down. Always having had a voracious appetite for books, I'd developed a fondness for words and penchant for the language, fuelled further with my background in English Literature followed by Masters in Mass Communications. 

Lubaba Faisal Ali 

Lubaba is a Freelance Creative writer, Scriptwriter and Poetess. She graduated
with a BSc in Biomedical Engineering from Sudan University for Science and Technology. Later, she decided to follow her ambition and shift from Engineering to Creative Writing.

Aashna Nagpal

Currently based in Delhi, Aashna has a Master’s degree in English literature. She has been writing poetry since she was ten and has been published in several journals. The poetry of Rilke and Pessoa inspires her the most. Her research interests include Modernism, Intertextuality, Translation and Gender Studies. If she is not scanning bookshops, she’s probably petting a dog.

Stephany Guimaraes

Stephany Pacheco, 21, born in Porto Alegre, Brazil, has a degree in Creative Writing from PUCRS. She is a writer, illustrator and animator. She has participated in writing projects, and has a short story published in the Anthology of Creative Writing. She is currently working on the publication of her first book, which will be a period novel and is in the process of publishing her first article on Heroin's Journey

Kieran McMullan

I am a writer and journalist, though trained as a photographer at Norwich University of the Arts, England. I write foremost because I believe simple truths deserve articulation, and secondly because it brings me joy. To reference Orwell, my first concern is to get a hearing.

Hannah Brown 

LLB graduate and current LLM student based within the United Kingdom. Aspiring legal academic and ardent writer with a focus on feminism, social justice and criminology. 

Tatyana Kalaydjian Serraino

Tatyana Kalaydjian Serraino is an Italian-Danish-Armenian art historian, content writer, and part-time tour guide. She holds a BA from the University of Cambridge (St John’s College) and an MA from John Cabot University in Rome.
